Over the years, since Al Gore put out fictitious (but media appealing) data about ‘starving & drowning’ Polar Bears (illustrated by a cartoon one), there has been an enormous amount of misinformation https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2013/nov/27/polar-bears-climate-change-canada-hudson-bay on these animals, in fact they are doing very well thank you (pop~28,000), mainly due to the reduction of hunting caused by the Marine Mammal Protection Act.
